The Surgery

Built in 1914, this federation house and garden hold significant heritage value, recognised at both local and state levels. Originally constructed to serve as a dental surgery and residence for the current owner's grandfather, the property reflects a rich historical narrative. Renovations have been conducted with a strong emphasis on preserving the original architectural style and heritage fabric, ensuring that modern updates enhance the property while remaining respectful of its historic essence. The result is a harmonious blend of past and present, maintaining the building's character while accommodating contemporary living standards.

Work included a new living space at the rear to embrace the garden and aspect, upgraded wet areas, a new study within the original dentist's surgery, general upkeep and a new garage.

The garden renovation focused on restoring the historical integrity of the site. Native plants and architectural elements from the original era were carefully selected and integrated, creating a harmonious landscape that pays homage to the past while fostering a vibrant ecosystem.

Completed 100 years after it was originally built for the granddaughter of the original owner made this project a very special one to work on.
