As a small, design-focused architectural practice based in Sydney, Castlepeake Architects brings years of experience in all types of residential architecture, including new builds, alterations, and heritage houses. Our modest size allows for directorial input on every project from initial design through to completion on site. Our Director, Mark, has been with Castlepeake for 24 years. Mark finds the blend of artistic and technical elements in his job endlessly fascinating, relishing the transformation of ideas into physical spaces. Outside of work, Mark enjoys family time outdoors, gardening, drawing, and exploring nature. Inspired by his parents' home renovation during his childhood, he knew early on he wanted a career in architecture. Mark punctuates his day with coffee breaks and values the opportunity to mentor younger colleagues.

He loves seeing abstract ideas materialised into spaces that bring joy to their inhabitants, and is passionate about sustainability, anticipating greater accountability in the construction industry in the coming years. Outside work, Marty is a keen runner, and enjoys spending time with his young family and hitting the beach.

She finds inspiration in anyone aiming to personalise their living spaces, and her ability to bring unexpected delights to clients brings her professional pride. With 21 years service, Pip is a Castlepeake veteran, having come to the field after early exposure during school. She even did work experience at Castlepeake as a 15 year old! Outside of work, she has a full life with her husband Mark, three adult children, and dog Lulu. Pip enjoys yoga, tennis, and swimming to stay active.

When it comes to outside interests, let’s just say that the man is obsessed with food. He’s currently into outdoor cooking at home with the family, and cherishes the Castlepeake tradition of Burger Fridays.
