Screen House

Extensive landscaping combined with a modulated form provide a house with soft textural detail, and enduring interest. A new build in Northbridge, Screen House is split into three portions, arranged in a north-south alignment down the length of the site.

A lush garden can now be found where the under-utilised side passage was once located, while a roof garden off the master bedroom provides a continuous vegetated outlook into the neighbouring treetops.

The forms of the house and carport are well-harmonised, broken down to allow the intrinsic landscaping to be positioned between and around the buildings, honouring the importance of the garden to this project.

The northern views from Castlecrag to Sailors Bay provide a striking backdrop for architectural design. This landscape blends natural elements and urban development, impacting a project's aesthetics and functionality. Thoughtful consideration of these views enhances residents' connections to their surroundings while ensuring privacy and comfort.
